LarKC Early Adopters Tutorial (full day tutorial)

Sunday, 25th October, 8:30- 18:00

Abstract

The aim of the LarKC project is to develop the Large Knowledge Collider (LarKC, for short, pronounced “lark”), a platform for massive distributed incomplete reasoning that will remove the scalability barriers of currently existing reasoning systems for the Semantic Web. The aim of this tutorial is to enable participants to the get access to early research results and technologies from the LarKC project. Having completed this tutorial participants will have the basic skills required to develop their own plug-ins for the LarKC platform and run their own experiments on the LarKC platform. The tutorial will run as a full day event, with presentations from experts on the LarKC platform and a series of hands-on exercises designed to introduce the participants to the different aspects of the LarKC platform. This tutorial is based on a similar successful tutorial at the 6th European Semantic Web Conference (ESWC09), and will ensure that also the US-based community has access to the research results from the LarKC project.
